The Time We Had

It is the diary of Kun Nam, the only remaining olden Chinese restaurant in Macau, in images one month before it closed down. It was a place where the director and her grandfather used to visit when she was a child.

Macau people always have a sentimental attachment to the city. The nostalgia of the director for old time and things and the root-searching documentaries made on Macau today after the liberation of the gaming industry both speak for the same feeling.

About the Director

Veronique Wong is one of the founders of “ Assoication of Comuna De Pedra” and “Association of Video Space of Macau”. She graduated from the Communication Art of National University of Fine Art, France( Master with Honour ). She then got the Assoicate Degree of Early Childhood Education at City College of San Francisco. She is one of the video artists rarely seen in Macau in the early time.
